Visa & Health requirements to enter South Africa

A valid passport, and in some cases a visa, is required for all visitors entering South Africa. For visa requirements please check with your travel agent or the South African consular official in your country. For more information on visa requirements, an application form in pdf format, and South African diplomatic or consular representation in your country or a neighbouring country, visit the website of the SA Department of Foreign Affairs http://www.dfa.gov.za/consular/visa.htm or the SA Department of Home Affairs www.home-affairs.gov.za/documents.asp

VISITORS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER SOUTH AFRICA WITHOUT THE PROPER REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION. VISAS MUST BE OBTAINED PRIOR TO DEPARTURE TO SOUTH AFRICA!

No international immunisation is required to enter South Africa, except a valid international yellow fever vaccination certificate for travellers who enter South Africa within six days of leaving an infected country. Visitors who travel through or disembark in these countries are advised to be inoculated against the disease before visiting South Africa.

Cape Town is in a malaria-free area.
